My first video production for 2014!
Last August, ten friends and I joined forces with South Bay Church and organized a leadership event for entrepreneurs. We believe that the best entrepreneurs excel as leaders. To create purpose. Inspire others to follow a vision. Make concepts, hopes, and dreams into actionable tangible results. Our planning accumulated to a beta conference as a test to see if we can pull this off on an annual basis.
The conference went beyond our expectations. We had a Founders Panel consisting of Victor Ho (CEO and Founder of FiveStars), Chase Adam (Founder of Watsi), and Jerry Shen (Director of Engineering at Yahoo). We also had an amazing venture capitalist interview session with Chi-Hua Chien from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Our keynote speakers included Terry Storch and Bobby Gruenewald from YouVersion, celebrating their 1 millionth download of their Bible mobile app.
We also had about 400 attendees who gave us overwhelming positive feedback. We learned plenty before, during, and after the ELEO Conference. Lots of “What-Not-To-Do’s” and “Please-Do-Again” moments. It was a stressful, chaotic, but really fun time. Without a doubt, I’m super excited for these upcoming months as we are already planning for ELEO Conference 2014. Stay tuned!
Big thank you to VMware, for allowing me to volunteer two business days to produce this video. One of many awesome aspects of being a VMware employee, we are granted one week each year to ‘give back’ and volunteer our skills to any non-profit of our choosing. Not only do I continue to improve my video production skills, I’m helping an amazing church become a centralized network of bright, passionate and innovative entrepreneurs who will be making ripples in Silicon Valley and beyond.
