In 2024, I proudly became a member of the Pleasanton Police Department. With their training, support, and mentorship, I graduated from the police academy and took on the role of a police officer. My time serving the community was incredibly fulfilling, as I aimed to enhance the quality of life for those around me. However, I came to the realization that I lacked the resilience necessary to sustain the demands of this career in the long run. As a result, I made the decision to resign in February 2025 and am currently taking a step back to reflect on my next adventure while reconnecting with family and friends.
Before joining law enforcement, my professional journey encompassed various roles where I developed my expertise in marketing communications and writing, contributing to the growth and success of both startups and established companies. As a former head of internal communications and a freelance consultant, I have effectively managed complex change initiatives and crafted compelling narratives that inform and inspire thousands of employees to do their best work. My law enforcement experiences have not only reinforced my communication capabilities but have also enhanced my appreciation for the importance of public service and community development.
I’ve also been a writer and blogger for 20+ years.
Here are some of my most popular stories:
- A Mark Worth Mentioning: a personal tribute to my older brother.
- Inconceivable: a reflection on the darkest days of my life.
- Man Down, Man Up: a moment of weakness, a pathway to greatness.
I’m also publishing a podcast every once in a while for my young twins and anyone who is open to learning more about life lessons and growing up.
