As many of you predicted, this year’s Louie Christmas photo was inspired by our favorite movie of 2010: Toy Story 3.
The standards of photo quality and creativity are raised with each annual Christmas card so I’m very happy how this year’s photo came out.
I spent about 18 hours in photoshop experimenting and learning how to integrate each family member into this animated world. The only characters that didn’t require any photoshop manipulation were Woody (my nephew Tyler) and Jessie (my mom). The most difficult and time intensive effort involved ‘plastic-izing’ my wife and I (Barbie & Ken). I was most pleased with adding a parachute and the green army men puddle to my newlywed sister and her husband. I think my most visible disappointments are my dad’s (Rex’s) feet as I think I could have made them more authentic-looking if I invested more time.
Special Thanks:
I could not have done this photo project by myself with the expected deadline my family gave me. Thanks to my dear cousin for providing the authentic Pixar background. Special thanks to Stanley Yeung for helping me create the Louie Story logo. He basically saved me a whole night of work as I’m still a noob with logo creations.
